Susan Allen, RDH

Susan Allen received her Associates in Applied Sciences from Tarrant County Junior College in 1998, as well as achieving honor roll and dean's list. She is a board certified registered dental hygienist. Susan is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
Susan volunteers during Dental Health Week, has participated in Sealants Across America and donated to Dental Health of Arlington.
Susan and her husband, Jerry, live in North Grand Prairie with their son, Jordan. Her interests include nutrition, health and exercise.
Deana Harris-Crook, CDA
Team member since October 20, 1989
Deana Harris-Crook is Dr. Slater's valuable assistant. After graduating from high school, Deana enrolled with the Bryan Institute to become a dental assistant. Dr. Slater mentored Deana through her internship and, realizing her potential, he offered her the position.
Deana's main concern are her patients. She and Dr. Slater make a wonderful team, and when you see them working together it is easy to understand how they can create such a perfectly beautiful smile. They definitely compliment each other and the respect they have for one another is very obvious.
Deana is married with three sons. She and her husband, Ed are very involved in their activities, especially sports. Deana enjoys reading, fishing and spending time with her family.
She is a joy to work with and says she cannot imagine ever working anywhere else.
Helen Hantsche
Team member since August 11, 1995
Helen Hantsche, office manager, best describes herself as a nurturing and caring person. Being a wife, a mother of two and a grandmother has challenged her to balance home and career in a way that slights neither.
Helen grew up in New Mexico. She and her husband, Arlis relocated to Arlington, where they watched their children grow into wonderful adults, raising families of their own.
Helen began a career in banking in 1967. This was very good experience for her, but the "bankers hours" finally took a toll. She has been in dentistry for the past 17 years and loves working with Dr. Slater. She says that Dr. Slater and his terrific team make working a real joy.
Helen watches Dr. Slater do "life changing" dentistry everyday and she feels very rewarded when she can help make it comfortably affordable for the patient. At this time, she says she is having too much fun to even think about retirement.
Tammi
Team member since February 3, 1991
Tammi has the fortunate opportunity to work one-on-one with Dr. Slater's patients. She helps patients create plans and set goals for their dental health. She also helps coordinate patient appointments.
Tammi enjoys working with Dr. Slater because she has total faith and trust in him. She is not only a team member, she's a proud patient. She enjoys working with the best dental team in the world.
Outside the office, Tammi enjoys spending time with her family. She exercises regularly and loves to rollerblade. She aspires to act and model, and is now taking acting classes. Tammi enjoys listening to music, especially classic rock and big band. Please let her know if there is anything she can do to make visits to Dr. Slater's office more pleasant.
